What you learn :

Through personalized step-by-step instruction, you learn to communicate designs effectively with bench jewelers, colleagues, and customers. You are guided how to make realistic presentations with colored pencils, and paint which are yours to keep. These professional design illustration techniques help you to translate ideas into reality. This class is ideal even if you have little or no sketching experience.

• Draft layouts of gemstones and metal parts
• Learn to communicate metal shapes and gemstone cuts using colored pencils
• Use stencils and basic design equipment
• Learn different presentation techniques based on your audience
• Learn different stone setting styles

This class provides a solid foundation for students wishing to take GIA’s 9 week jewelry design program.
