In less than a day, participants will get upto-date on gemstone treatments. They’ll see everything from beryllium-diffusion treated sapphire to fracture-filled diamond and bleached polymer-impregnated jadeite.

• Review of the common commercial treatments for gemstones.
• How to detect important treatments to commercial gem materials.
• When to send a gem to a laboratory.
