GIA Laboratory Bangkok and GIA Thailand Campus shared a booth at the
GIA’s presence in Thailand was well represented at the recent
42nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair that was held from September 11th
- 15th, 2008. GIA’s booth was twice the size of previous years
and expressed the full range of GIA’s offerings to Thailand and
the region. These included both Laboratory Services (Diamond Grading
as well as Colored Stone and Pearl reports and Research) and the fill
package of GIA’s Educational Programs. The booth also showcased
GIA new retailer’s package.

The
booth became a one stop GIA information center offering attendees the
chance to win prizes, discover new services offered by the GIA Laboratory
Bangkok and learn of the new educational seminars and the many courses
and programs offered at the GIA Thailand Campus. For an energizing and
enlightening break, coffee and cutting edge GIA gemological videos were
offered on a complementary basis to help visitors and exhibitors rest
their tired limbs.
Visitors
to the GIA Booth were excited and amazed to learn of the many different
varieties of services available from the GIA Laboratory Bangkok. The
GIA Diamond Dossier® - now available in Bangkok - generated a great
deal of interest; the GIA Diamond Dossier® is the diamond grading
and inscription registry service from GIA Laboratory for diamonds weighing
between 0.15 to 1.99 ct on the GIA D to Z grading scale. It includes
the laser inscription of a diamond's unique GIA Report number on the
girdle.

association with the Thai Gem & Jewelry Traders Association GIA’s
Thailand Campus and GIA Laboratory, Bangkok are honored to present Alan
Hodgkinson F.G.A., D.G.A., as the principle speaker at this year’s
GIA GemFest Thailand.

of money on high-tech equipment. He has been the recipient of many honors,
including - Honorary Registered Valuer UK, Honorary Member Canadian
Gemmological Association, Freeman Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths,

“this is an opportunity not to be missed, you cannot fail to be
enthused by just listening to Alan”. H. Randal Park the Director
of the GIA Educational Campus in Thailand echoes these sentiments and
adds “GIA is proud that it was able to persuade Alan to come to
Thailand especially for this event and we thank The Thai Gem and Jewelry
